Obituary of Raymond C. Murphy

Murphy, Raymond C, Linwood, MI Raymond C. Murphy, age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Toni and Trish house. He was born in Taylor Michigan on March 4, 1942 to the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Hood) Murphy. He was raised by his grandmother Zoa Hood and his uncle, Charles Hodd of Wyandotte Michigan. Raymond worked as a tool and Die maker. Although he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and going to the casino, he loved being with his family most of all. On February 8, 1964, he married his best friend, Gail Dunn in Wyandotte Michigan. Together they shared 52 years of marriage and raised 2 children. He is survived by his wife Gail; two children, Raymond (Sue) Murphy and Randy (Patty) Murphy; grandchildren, Amanda (Calvin), Jennifer (Bryan), Randy (Amber), Lacy, Karen (Zach), and Kevin; great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Laykin, Leah, Connor, Annalyn, Paisleigh, & Audrey. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. His family would like to thank everyone at Toni and Trish house for their excellent care and loving support.
