Obituary of Robert Allen LeRoy

LeRoy, Robert Allen Saginaw, MI Robert Allen LeRoy, Sr., 87, of Saginaw Township peacefully passed away in his home on Thursday, May 19th. Robert was born on Dec. 20, 1928 in Saginaw to the late Elmer and Delilah (Landeryou) LeRoy. Bob married Alyce Davis on August 24, 1957. Bob served with honor in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob worked for the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A & P) as a meat cutter for 42 years, retiring in 1990. Bob loved sports, especially North Little League where he was involved for over 35 years serving in various positions including coaching, equipment manager, and President. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Alyce, and a daughter Terri (Gary) Burr, a son Robert Jr. (Teresa) LeRoy. Bob had 6 granddaughters Katie (Eric) Schneider, Karlie (Blair) White, Kellie (Kyle) Wolpert, Kristie LeRoy, Emilie Burr, Penny (Dan) Beierschmitt, 1 grandson, Gary (Nicole) Burr, Jr., 5 great-grandsons, Blake and Chase White, Grant Schneider, Daniel Beierschmitt, Hunter Burr, 3 great-granddaughters, Katelyn Beierschmitt, Hannah and Avery Burr, and 2 great-granddaughters on the way. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Rose Simon and Colleen Bluemlein along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and an immediate family service has been planned. Those wishing to honor Bob's memory may donate to North Little League or the VA Hospital.
