Obituary of Allen R. Stoll
Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant, Allen.
Rev. Allen Richard Stoll was born in New Orleans on June 19, 1944 to parents Edward and Elenore Stoll. At Messiah Lutheran Church in New Orleans, LA on July 9, 1944 he received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. He confessed his baptismal faith at Zion Lutheran Church, Chicago, IL, in the rite of Confirmation on March 30, 1958 and was admitted to the altar to receive the medicine of immortality, Christ's life-giving body and blood. He was united in holy marriage to Janet Louise Johnson on July 1, 1967 and blessed with nearly 48 years of married life together. God blessed them with the gift of children: Barbara (Paul) Doyle, Rebecca (Dan) Garlock, Katherine Riles, Julia (Tim) Kautz, and Amanda (Aaron) Roggow. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Janet, his five daughters and their families, and his brother Michael Stoll. Allen faithfully served Christ and His church as a Lutheran school teacher and principal for 23 years. He was ordained into the pastoral ministry on July 17, 1994 and preached Christ and Him crucified and risen for 21 years. On June 4th, God called Allen home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead. Visitation will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St., Saginaw, MI 48602 on Monday, June 8th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Any donations made in memory of Rev. Allen Stoll will be dispersed by the family to the following educational ministries: Bethlehem Lutheran School, Valley Lutheran High School and Lake Country Lutheran High School. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our husband, father, grandfather, brother, pastor and friend, Allen.
