After reading all the wonderful things written about John I feel cheated that I did not get to know him better. Although, I have been a friend of Jackie's since the 5th grade and that is many number of years. It sounds like John was a great success in life and was a wonderful Father and a great family man. I also know he gave that dreadful disease a big fight. He deserves to rest in peace now.

Liana the apple didn't fall far from the tree. I am sure your daddy is looking down at you and will continue to and smile from ear to ear and say that is my girl!
To the Summer boys the same for you the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Your daddy looks down at you with pride! To mom Summers it is your presents with him and your encouragement that saw him through his days! What a lovely family.! I am honored to have met you all. Love ya- Cheryl

This was my daddy. Born a poor farmer boy, who studied hard and made good grades. He joined the Army and worked hard to put himself through college. He worked at General Motors as a runner boy until he could move up into a better position. He worked hard all day and worked a Farm and Garden to feed us. He worked day and night providing for us and showed us by example how to raise a family. Dedicated to his work and our family, he never had idle time. Every minute was spent to guarantee us a better quality of life than he had. He retired from GM as Chief Administrator for Quality Control. He built my mother 3 beautiful homes with his own hands throughout the years and never ever showed weakness. There is no man on earth that compares to John Summers. I am proud to say he was my father. I pray that I never let him down in all the days of my life.
