Obituary of William "Bill" R. McConnell

Bill went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2014 after a brief illness at the age of 79. He was born in Bay City on April 22, 1935 to the late Herbert and Wilhelmena (Sigelko) McConnell. He was very kind and generous, especially with his time. He was always thinking of others and putting their needs first. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sister, Thora Harris of Atlanta GA; his children, Cinda (Alan) Hill of Bay City MI, Donn (Deb) Mammel of Gladwin MI, Joe Mammel of Saginaw MI, John Mammel of Essexville MI, Mary (Joe) Stilwell of Bay City MI, Fred (Sarah) Mammel of Petosky MI, and Erin (Kirk) Dawson of Trafalgar IN; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; niece, Brenda Melton of Atlanta GA;and extended family. He was predeceased by his wives Betty (Sorin) McConnell and Elaine (Arnold-Mammel) McConnell & his sister Lois. No services are planned at this time. A private interment will take place at a later date at Green Ridge Cemetery.
