Obituary of Bryan James Goodson

Bryan James Goodson, age 68, of Au Gres, MI, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at home, surrounded by family.  He was born on October 21, 1956, in Pontiac, MI, to the late Thad and Mildred Goodson.

Bryan married Dawn on September 2, 1978, in Pontiac, MI. Together, they built a life filled with family, friends and cherished memories.

He is survived by his children, Janet Holser, Bryan (Amanda) Goodson, and Kevin Goodson. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Logan Holser and Bradley Gibson; one great-granddaughter, Maddie Holser; his siblings, Sandi Goodson, Diane Alderman, and Teri Carlson; as well as many very loved nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were like family to him.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Mildred Goodson; step-father, Salvatore Cutajar; his beloved wife, Dawn Goodson; grandson, Tyler Holser; siblings, Kathleen (Tom) Meir, William Cutajar, and Lawrence Cutajar; and treasured dog, Benny.

An on-the-go guy, Bryan found joy in golfing, hunting and fishing, golfing, playing pool and darts, golfing, bowling and more golfing. 

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Compassus, especially Theresa, who provided exceptional care and support to Bryan, and his family, in his final days.

In accordance with Bryan's wishes, cremation will take place.
