In Loving Memory of Rolland John Wildman
February 19, 1932 – December 11, 2024
Rolland John Wildman, age 92, of Sebewaing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at Covenant Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Rolland was born on February 19, 1932, in Bach, Mich. He was the youngest son of 7 children of the late John and Martha (Faber) Wildman.
Rolland married the love of his life, Arlene Grace Cox, and together they built a beautiful life centered on love and family. Their marriage was tragically cut short when Arlene passed away at the young age of 41. Despite this heart-breaking loss, Rolland continued to raise their youngest son Bryan, with the help of his daughter and son-in-law.
Rolland cherished time with his family and loved taking them on outings to roller-skating rinks or out for milkshakes when his schedule allowed. In recent years, he found joy in simple pleasures like shopping at Walmart or local dollar stores and engaging in conversations about topics he was passionate about.
He dedicated many years of hard work to Michigan Milk Producers, where he earned respect for his strong work ethic and commitment. In the last years of his life, his proudest moments were those spent with his family, going on morning walks and “putzing” around the yard.
Rolland was preceded in death by his parents, wife Arlene, sisters Ruth, Elsie, Bertha, Beulah and brothers Roy and William and grandson Jason.
He is survived by his children, Carol (James) Millerwise, Gerald (Diane)Wildman, and Bryan (Rod) Wildman. He also leaves behind treasured grandchildren: Jennifer (Philip) Phifer, Joanne (Greg) Eremia, Angie (Dave) Schwartz, Serra Wildman, Benjamin (Kayla) Wildman, and nine great-grandchildren.
Rolland’s legacy of strength, resilience, and devotion to family will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Per Rolland’s request, a private celebration of his life will be held, featuring hot dogs, malted milkshakes, and the sharing of good stories—a fitting tribute to a life well-lived!
