I met Doug through mutual friends many many years ago . The fun we all had , I was shocked to learn the news of Doug’s passing. Like so many others our lives turned on different paths and we lost contact. My condolences to his family. May Doug be in a peaceful slumber until the Father calls him home. R.I.P. Doug . My condolences to his family and friends .

Doug and I were in the same grade in school, but I did not really have the chance to know him until fate put us in the same row of seats in a high school history class. While we were never in the same social circle, we had a good conversation from time to time, and he gets credit for suggesting I have my long hair cut short--which is how I still wear it today. We took our own paths, but he stayed in my mind over the years. My condolences to his family...

Q: What will you miss most about Douglas?
A: What I miss most about Doug is talking to him we would just sit and talk about anything but it always come back to God. He loved the Lord and I know I will see him again he told me he was saved at he is going to heaven and that's how I know. We used to go fishing a little bit not as much as we wanted to but he loved to fish. Before he got sick he loved to walk. Only guy I know that walked four to five miles to work because she just love to do it he loved his job at Tony's and wanted to get back there one day. We would go out to eat a lot just about every time we went out to eat he would order a bowl of menudo he would order so much food couldn't eat quarter of it but he loved to eat. So now every time I hear the word menudo I think of him. I'm going to miss you Doug more than you'll ever know.

Doug, you're now in heaven, watching over us. I’ll forever be grateful for the times you checked in on me and the kids when they were young—whether they were sick, during a storm, or just to see how we were doing. Your kindness meant so much, and those moments will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Doug.
