Obituary of Sarah Marie Stevens

Please share a memory of Sarah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sarah Marie "Sissy" Stevens, age 25, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away November 5, 2024.  She was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Russel Stevens and Michelle Donaldson, and was raised by Russel and her step-mother Tami Stevens.  She enjoyed art and music, finding beauty in creative expression. Her goofy side brought laughter to those around her, brightening their days. Dogs held a special place in her heart, their loyalty and playful nature resonating with her own. Sarah Marie had a very contagious laugh, a sound that could chase away any gloom. She brought a smile out in everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and kindness.

Sarah Marie lost a battle with drugs that she fought for many years, one more victim of a plague that has taken so many of America's best. Sarah Marie was a daughter, aunt, niece, granddaughter, and friend, and she will be missed by many.

Sarah Marie is survived by her siblings, Rachell Kimmel, Jeffery (Becky) Kimmel, Tabitha Donaldson-Hobson, Robin Donaldson, and Rachael Donaldson; step-siblings, Malisa (Matt) Smith and Ashley (Chris) Hendrick; grandpa, Wesley Stevenson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.  She was predeceased by her father, Russel Stevens; grandma, Glenda Falasz; nephew, Zander Hobson; and grandma, Carol Stevenson.

A private funeral service will take place. The family will have a luncheon for friends and family on December 7, 2024, from 11:30am – 2 pm, at St. Joseph's Village Hall, 1338 N. Johnson St. Bay City MI 48708.
