Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Sturgeon
Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Cheryl Lynn Sturgeon, age 67, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on October 24, 2024.
Timothy and his lovely wife Cheryl, raised three children, Quinne Billingsley (Tom), Jason Sturgeon (Amy) and Noél Gilbert (Paul). She adored her six grandchildren, Kassidi (Dallan), Kaleb, Gaberial, Tyler, Graham and London. She also had a great grandson Avery and another one on the way.
Cheryl enjoyed spending time at her home where her family would often gather. You could find her sitting on her deck or down in the river on a warm summer day enjoying a toddy while reading a Stephen King novel often accompanied by her best friend Julie. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her many plants and flowers that she loved. Mom never missed anyone’s birthday always ensuring her loved ones received one of her delicious cakes or pies made from scratch and baked with love.
Her two dogs Betty Boop and Rusty were always by her side or keeping her lap warm while lounging on the couch.
Cheryl had a smile and laugh that was contagious and would light up the room. She was always willing to help friends and family in need. She was an accepting, kind and beautiful woman both inside and out.
Cheryl was always up for fun and adventure. She enjoyed concerts, craft shows, antique stores and travel. Some of her favorite vacations included Paradise Island in the Bahamas, a Stephen King tour in Maine and exploring Florida while visiting her youngest daughter who lives there.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, John Prescott Milliman and Shirley (Regetz) Milliman. She is survived by her two brothers Robert Milliman (Dianne) and Brian Milliman (Diane).
