Stan was a United States Marine Corps veteran who served 1969-1972 on the world scene including Okinawa, South Korea and Cuba. He was employed at General Motors/Saginaw Steering Gear for 32 years. While at GM, Stan married his bride of nearly 51 years, Marilyn LaPratt of Caro on December 1, 1973 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. After retiring from GM, Stan found a 20+year passion for helping save lives and serve others as an EMT, ending service at the Sebewaing Ambulance just this past spring. Stan had as many interests as God could give a person, but he most enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing, gardening and the great outdoors, including bonfires of all sizes with the entertainment accompanying a fire. His wife Marilyn survives him, as well as his children, daughter Angela and husband Josh Zaug of Sioux Falls, SD, daughter Amy Grzemkowski of Savannah, GA, son Justin and his wife Amanda Grzemkowski of Montrose, Michigan, as well as his grandchildren, Justin Grzemkowski Jr, Breia Grzemkowski, Laura Zaug, and Jerome Zaug; brothers and sisters: Philip and wife Elizabeth Grzemkowski, Susan and husband Sam Prezzato, Carol and husband Terry Born, Daniel and wife Melanie Grzemkowski, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
