Obituary of Johnnie Joseph Rubenacker
Please share a memory of Johnnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Johnnie “John” Joseph Rubenacker of Beaverton, MI (formerly of Davisburg, MI) passed away on September 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on February 24, 1948, to the late Richard and Frances Rubenacker. John loved life to the fullest. His family was his world and his greatest source of joy. He loved spending time on the Lake Michigan shore with his adored wife Christine. John loved spending time with his children and grandchildren laughing, sharing meals, and making memories. After his career as a skilled trades supervisor at GM he found he enjoyed teaching skilled trades courses at Mid-Michigan Community College. He was quick to make new friends and to know him was to instantly love him. In his spare time, he could often be found working on one of his many projects ranging from home improvement, building, or restoring anything mechanical (there was almost nothing he could not fix).
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine; children Tony (Kari), Joe (Jennifer), and Anna (Noel); grandchildren, Kyle, Mariah, Alaina, Evan, Isabelle, Brooke and Seth; great-grandchildren, Emma and Olivia; and siblings, Richard, Judy and Mary.
A Funeral Mass will be held on October 19, 2024, at 10:30AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 3516 E Monroe Rd, Midland, MI 48642. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate.
