Obituary of Linda Lou Beland
Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Linda Lou Beland, resident of Bay City, Michigan, sadly passed away on September 14, 2024 at McLaren Bay Region with loved ones by her side. Linda was born September 1, 1953 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late R. Lloyd and Marian Beland.
Linda was a positive person who touched many lives. Even though she did not have children of her own, she took many friends under her wing. She had a way to make people feel valued and special. She cared deeply for others and always gave the best advice. She had the ability to provide upfront honestly even with the most difficult topics with grace and compassion. One of the things she was known for was her infamous hugs. If you were lucky enough to get one her hugs, you would have felt a warm, comforting embrace.
Linda was also passionate about science, cosmology in particular. She received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering at Michigan Technological University, graduating top of her class. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching Sci-fi movies, reading and listening to audio books, and snuggling with her cats. Her cats were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her 3 cats, Rocco, Noki, and Remi; her “kids”, Joshua Stewart and Stacey Berlin, Joshua Heredia, Logan Harris and Chloe Lemmer; and many other friends and family.
In honoring Linda’s wishes, she will not be having a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions for Wishes of the Family. Please sign the online guestbook at www.cremationsocietymidmi.com
