Obituary of Nina Faye Jordan

Nina Faye Jordan of Standish, Michigan died September 10, 2024. She was born on March 17, 1943 in West Branch, Michigan to the late Frank and Mina Smith of Hale, Michigan.
Nina was a woman of strong faith, instilling faith, compassion and generosity in her family. She was a parishioner of Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, and a member of Daughters of Isabella.
Nina was a devoted wife and mother in her younger years, while also working with the Tuscola Township Supervisor as Deputy Clerk and working many elections. She entered the workforce after raising her children, starting out as a teller at Frankenmuth Bank, and rising through the ranks to a management position. In the mid 80’s Nina obtained her real-estate license and made a name for herself as a top selling realtor in the Pinconning & Standish area. She took special enjoyment from assisting people with the purchase of their first home. After retirement she was happy to spend more time again with family, often traveling to the West side of the state for Birthdays and Holidays.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Larry Jordan; daughter, Deanna Birchmeier (Norb); and son, Al Jordan (Rhonda); grandchildren, Mike Jordan, Jon Jordan, Brad Jordan (Annmarie), Alex Lockhart, Ben Jordan, Victoria Lockhart, Matt Jordan (Casey), Josh Jordan, and Elizabeth Jordan; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Patricia Santamour; sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith; and many dear nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, Esther Anderson, Lillian Armstead, Nora Crane, Gertrude Harriman, Harold Smith, Frederick Smith, George Smith, Lucille Dorcey, Franklin Smith, and Vernon Smith.
The family encourages those who are considering an expression of sympathy to consider memorial contributions in Nina’s memory, to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
