Obituary of Marty Hall
Please share a memory of Marty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our wonderful brother Marty Joe Hall, son, uncle, great-uncle, and friend passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 66.
Marty was born on July 28, 1958, in Flint Michigan to Roseanne Leonard (Green) and the late John Hall.
Marty graduated from New Lothrop High School and then enlisted in the United States Army, followed by the National Guard. He was very proud of the years in service to our country.
Marty was married to the late Sharon (Kay) Hall for almost 40 years before she preceded him in death on October 6, 2023. Marty was the master of many trades, Handyman, Gardner, Auto and Home repair. His love for his garden caught the attention of his many neighbors, family, friends, and anyone passing by his home, and he produced enough vegetables to stock many pantries.
If you were lucky enough to be a friend of Marty’s, you were a friend for life. Marty had many of these friends, including from school, neighbors, and the community of Birch Run, including Dan Bell.
Marty Joe is survived by many brothers and sisters, Rodney Hall, Mark Hall (Victoria), Holly Lesser (Scott Feldotte), Kevin Bauer (Jane), Tammy Erdman (Joel), Chris Leonard (Mary), and Tina Thomas; nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Brian Hall, Amy (Mark) Highland, Randy Hall, Erica Hall, Duane (Rebekah) Machulis, Kendra Hall, Kenny Hall, Amanda Jurish (Jon Samborn), Angela Grace, Christina Grace, Aubrianna Grace, Yvette Hall-Higgins (Aaron), Mark Hall II, Matthew Leonard (Aslyssa Flores), Rose Leonard, Kaylie Feldotte, and Addison Feldotte. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenny Hall and Todd Leonard.
His family would like to thank everyone at Covenant HC, Mary Free Bed, A&D Waiver, Golden Heart Home Services, and Heartland Hospice who helped Marty through this difficult time due to terminal cancer and traumatic assault.
A special thanks to Dr. Ruth Licht who cared for Marty and Kay for many years.
