She loved board games and card games particularly Sequence, Oregon Trail, and Bull spit. Maria enjoyed chatting with her sisters, lending an ear and advice to any who needed it and spending time with her girls. She enjoyed reading and being goofy and found pleasure in the simple things in life. She was a master at finances and budgeting, pinching pennies to make things work with what she had. She loved the music of Enya, Bon Jovi, Steve Miller Band and Ann Murry the most. The music she listened to was often accompanied by meditation. She liked coloring, word searches, crosswords, finding the difference games, and crafts. We ask that you do not send vases of cut flowers as those eventually die and we would like to celebrate and nurture life in remembrance of her. Instead, you may send living plants or make a donation to the Humane Society in her name (she loved watching cat rescue videos.)
May we mourn the loss of a good, kind and caring woman, and are comforted in the fact that she is no longer suffering from the effects of her Breast cancer and other illnesses.
