Obituary of Rosalie Lillian Jackson

Rosalie Lillian (Fenlon) Jackson, of Caro, Michigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the age of 101.  Rosalie was born on October 5, 1922 in rural Cheboygan County Michigan and was the 2nd youngest of 13 children born to William and Lillian (Trudo) Fenlon.

            Rosalie Fenlon married Edward D. Jackson in November 1941 in Cheboygan County. Following his WWII service and college education, Rosalie and Edward moved to the Thumb region of Michigan and settled in Caro in the mid 1950’s. Rosalie was a homemaker for a family of four children. A devout Catholic, Rosalie was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Parish and was very active for decades with the ladies auxiliary, for which she was honored with the parish Mother of the Year award.

           Rosalie was preceded in death by her youngest son, Donald P. Jackson in 1972; by Edward in 1985; twelve siblings; and her parents. Left to cherish her memory are three children, James E. Jackson of Caro, Mary Ann and son-in-law Paul Daily, Bill and daughter-in-law Jean Jackson; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

         The Jackson family extends their appreciation and gratitude for the professional and compassionate medical care provided by the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice of Cass City.

       In loving memory of Rosalie, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October, 5, 2024, which would have been her 102^nd birthday.  Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 910 W. Frank St., Caro, Michigan.  The family will gather to receive friends and share remembrances at church prior to service from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

      She will be laid to rest next to her husband Edward at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
