Lorne David Drouillard
1958 – 2024
On the morning of July 1, 2024 Lorne passed away peacefully at McLaren Bay Hospital at the age of 66. Lorne was born in Dearborn on March 4,1958 to Laverne and Mary Lou Drouillard. The family relocated to Bay City where Lorne attended public schools, ending at Central High. Lorne then served his country as a BTFM on the USS Trenton in the United States Navy. Afterwards, he lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, for many years before returning to Bay City. Lorne's knowledge of classic cars and his ability to restore them, especially the paint and finish, to the highest level earned him the nickname "Top Gun".
Left to cherish Lorne’s memory are his mother, Mary Lou; sisters, Rene Drouillard and Yvette (Arthur) LeMere; brother, Mitch (Jenni) Drouillard; nephews, Sean (Emily) Lemke, Tyler Lemke, and Jackson Drouillard; nieces, Magen (Neil) Samyn, Ashley and Chelsea Woods, Emily Drouillard, and Jaycee Bielat; fourteen great-nephews and nieces; special friends, Patricia Giovanni, Roger and Deb Rosebush, Tony Mazurowski, John Debatts, Dave Julian, Randy and Randall Raymond, Gil Narvez, and many more. Lorne was preceded in death by his father, LaVerne; sister, Michelle (Drouillard) Mahoney; nephew, Bradley Trask; and some close friends.
A loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, Lorne will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon-5 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Bay County Fairgrounds, Canteen building, 810 Livingston Street, Bay City, Michigan 48708.
