Obituary of David Arthur Jennings

David A. Jennings passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 13, 1948, to the late Arthur and Ardith Jennings. Originally from Freeland, Michigan where he passed, he also resided for many years in Castalian Springs, Tennessee,.
David served for our country in the United States Navy, he enjoyed being on the water, fishing and hunting. He worked many jobs over his lifetime working on a family farm, and for General Motors, but mainly spent most of his career as a short and long-haul truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jennings; his children, Tammy (Karen) and Brian (Margo); step-children, Tina, Melissa, Sally and Anthony; grandchild, Kaitlyn; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; his sister, Deborah; and other extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents. Special thank you to SouthernCare New Beacon and MyMichigan Hospice for their outstanding care of our loved one, as well as appreciation to ACC Medlink for the safe transport of David into the care of his daughter.
David's wishes for cremation and to spend eternity among the waters of this country will be honored, so his ashes will be spread at sea at a later time and place. No formal funeral service is planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Covenant Kids, or a charity of the donor's choice.
