Obituary of Lawrence James Miller

Please share a memory of Lawrence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lawrence Miller, age 68, passed away on May 4, 2024.  Larry battled early-onset Alzheimer’s disease for more than a decade and he left this world peacefully, surrounded by his family.   He was a proud member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers, Local #1.  Larry was a master craftsman and his spirit lives on in walls, veneers, chimneys, and fireplaces in residential and commercial buildings throughout southeast Michigan.  Larry loved bonfires, dogs, Elton John, and the Detroit Tigers.  He always enjoyed a good steak, corn on the cob, and an ice-cold light beer from a can.

He is survived by his sons, Larry Miller, Joe Miller, and Joe Froehlich; grandson, Mason Miller; and his wife, Celeste Miller.  A Celebration of Life will take place from 1 pm to 5 pm, June 22, 2024, at the Sand Lake Community Center, 4059 Indian Lake Rd., National City, Michigan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease and to provide care and support to families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
