Obituary of Jason David Leichner

Jason David Leichner, age 48, of Saginaw Michigan, passed away April 27, 2024.  He was born September 1, 1975 in Saginaw, to the late Dave Leichner and Janice (Carrier) Leichner.  Jason was a gifted artist from a young age, and has his art hanging in some of our homes. His passion was music... playing, creating, composing, and singing. He played the piano, keyboards, guitar, and drums. As teenagers, he and his good buddies started their first band “Simon Pure”. They would practice in the basement and neighbor kids liked to come and listen. Later on, he was part of The Painting, Anaset, and Our Space in Time. Jason loved his family and friends very much, his closest friends were truly his siblings - Phil, Alli, Sean, and Kaia.

He was always a loving son, will be sorely missed, but Heaven must have needed him!

He is survived by his loving family; mother, Janice Leichner; grandma, Ann Carrier; uncle Gary Carrier; aunts and uncles, Linda and Mike Kerby, Sharon and Mike LeMay, and Richard Carrier; first cousins: Steph, Sean, Kristy, Becky, Aaron, Whitney, and their wonderful families; and many other extended cousins and family.  He was predeceased by his father, Dave Leichner; grandpa, Irl Carrier; grandma, Margaret Leichner; and grandpa Sonny, (Alex) Leichner.
