Obituary of Sieglinde Fairchild
On February 21, 2024 we said good bye to Sieglinde Fairchild of Bridgeport, Michigan. She was born April 5, 1939 in Augsburg, Germany to the late Karl and Maria Buttner. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband Waldo L. Fairchild; her 3 children, Sandy Fairchild, Jackie (Rich) Kwaiser, and Matthew Fairchild (Kris Arnold); her grandchildren, Mya(Phil) Franzo, Jacob (Cassie) Kwaiser, and Rebecca Kwaiser; her great-grandchildren, Colten, Maria, Easton, Abram, Kaylie, Annalise, and Dominick; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins both in Michigan and in Germany. She was predeceased by her only sister and brother-in-law, Brigette and Ernst Neumair.
As co-owner of Saginaw Garbage Services with her husband, she spent tireless hours maintaining the office, raising her children, and later babysitting her grand children. She was known to her customers and acquaintances as "the little German Lady" because of her strong German accent. She was a kind and amazing woman with an adventurous spirit and silly sense of humor.
