Michael, age 72, from Bentley Michigan, beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at Gladwin Nursing & Rehab Community on February 11, 2024. He was the son of the late Willam & Ruth (Schoonmaker) Kaeckmeister. Mike was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 24, 1951. He leaves behind his daughter, Amy (Kerry) Cone, of Bellevue, Iowa; grandsons, Gabriel & Michael; siblings, Edward (Linda) Kaeckmeister of St. Charles, MI, Jane Snell of Hemlock, MI, and Susan (Tim) Creel of Charleston, SC.

Mike worked as a skilled trades electrician for GM for 50 years in 5 different plants throughout his career.  Mike was a Jack-of -All-Trades, so he liked to tinker. He loved his cats and nature.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gladwin Nursing & Rehab. And also thank Heartland Hospice for the excellent care given to Mike. A memorial will be announced at a later date.
