Obituary of Alan Kay McGill

McGill, Alan “Al” K.  

Akron, MI 

Alan passed away on January 17, 2024 at the age of 62. He was born on April 1, 1961 to the late Donald and Joyce (Kundrot) McGill. 

He started working in skilled trades at a young age with McGill Builders of Reese and continued in the field for many years. He was a retired member of Roofers Local 149. Activities he enjoyed included hunting, fishing and anything outdoors including visits to the Au Sable River with family and friends. Al was a dedicated father and grandfather. Visiting with his grandchildren brought him great joy. 

He is survived by two children Joshua McGill of Akron and Brett (Brittany) McGill of Pinconning; three grandchildren, Issabella, Mason and Jase; and one brother, Mark (Dawn) McGill; and many nieces, nephews, and great friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale P. McGill.
