Kay will be very missed by many of us as she was a very special person. She was such a great listener, not that she always agreed with you, but she always paid attention to those around her. She was always so funny and witty with her comments. Kay and Bill spent many winters in Gulf Shores Alabama and made so many friends that turned out to be like a big family every winter. She liked her deserts, at our gatherings we would each bring dessert for their table to share and after the meals she would grab a plate and walk around to different tables and pick which dessert she wanted from everybody. I think of when we would go on bus trips to Biloxi and at the buffet, she would always have to put a few cookies in her purse for her ride home She would spend many hours going to businesses to get donations for prizes to make our Mardi Gras party a success and fun for everyone. They were always part of the events, helping to put them on and there to enjoy the fellowship. We would play euchre twice a week and if she wasn’t doing very well in the game, she had to put a “fence” she would say, which was supposed to stop that team from scoring more points. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, but it was so cute when she did it. We know she will be missed by many especially her family. We loved how close they all were, and she knew if she ever needed anything she could count on them and even if she didn’t know she needed it they were usually there to do it. She knew how loved she was. Sorry sorry for your loss of one very special person. ❤️❤️
Love her kids in Alabama, she will always be in our hearts.

I am so grateful for the blessing of meeting Kay of late. She held such an exuberance for life, never complaining, always concerned for those she loved -- which started with her family, but then seemed to include everyone she met!
We became fast friends over the time of my weekly visits, and I was blessed by our friendship. We shared a deep appreciation for the prayer and Eucharist I was so honored to bring to her. Our conversations were marked with her honest frankness in all we discussed. Memories of Kay will include her bright smile and her incredibly positive spirit.
May she rest in eternal peace.

I was a patient of Dr. Swarthout where Kay worked. I had an appointment and as I walked into the office, Kay asked if I would answer the phone while she helped a patient get into her car. She no sooner walked out, the phone rang. Little did I know in answering the phone would lead to my working for 18 years at the office with Kay until she retired. It was a great office to work and Kay made it special. We visited Kay in Bay City just before she moved. We will keep Kay and her family in our thoughts and prayers

I met Kay only a couple of times. She was the kind of person that you could tell immediately was special. I wish I knew her earlier. God bless Kay and her entire family.
