Mark Lefevre
Grand Ledge, Michigan
Mark Stephen Lefevre, age 67, passed away at home on July 1, 2023, due to complications following surgery. Mark was born January 7, 1956, at St. Lawrence Hospital, in Lansing Michigan to William and Geraldine (Allen) Lefevre. He was raised in Lansing through his primary school years, then his family moved to Higgins Lake, where he attended Roscommon High School. He was a born athlete, and played on both the football and basketball teams. As a result of living on a lake, he developed a deep love of the outdoors and became an avid swimmer and scuba diver.
After high school, he moved back to Lansing and began working at Oldsmobile. He later took advantage of the GM buyout to start his own business. He loved working on machinery and developed a new blade system for the tire recycling business, receiving two patents for this unique system. He also had a passion for playing golf and fishing, especially river fishing. He would make a point of being on the river before the sun came up so he could enjoy all the beauty of the wildlife as it came alive for the day, even going so far as to name a pair of eagles he saw on numerous fishing trips as the “Brothers Grimm”.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Grand Ledge, MI; his brother, Bill (Sandy) Lefevre of Perry, MI; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Deborah) Nicoll, of Owosso, MI and Peter Nicoll of Manteca, CA; sister-in-law, Susan (Jeffrey) Pearman of Salem, OR; many nephews and nieces; and a number of special fishing buddies.
He loved and was loved, and will be missed - 39 years together was not long enough. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. To sign the online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
