Obituary of Ervin Dale Young

Ervin D. Young “Curly”, age 87, of Midland, Michigan, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023. He was born in Remus Michigan to the late Lyle and Leola Young. Curly married his true love, Beverly Slater on September 10 1960.

Curly received an Honorable Discharge after serving his country in the U. S. Army. He retired from Ray Jones Oil and was known as a “jack of all trades and a master of none”.  After his retirement he spent his time woodworking, gardening, and growing roses for Bev. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. One of his favorite pastimes was to drive around with his dog Bubba looking for deer.

Surviving are his children, Timothy (Winnette), Dale (Tondee) Young, and Becky (Randy) Stone; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; son, Robert; granddaughter, Jillian Young; brothers, Russ, Wayne, Jr., and Brownie Young; and sister, Eva Searfoss.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Floyd Church of God - New Life Center (behind the church), 1015 W.
