Obituary of John A. Cuellar

John A. Cuellar was granted his angel wings on October 5, 2020. His final days were spent surrounded by the love of his life, San Juanita “Janie” Cuellar, family and friends. John passed away at the age of 73 years. He was born November 21, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan to Antonio and Audelia Arzola Cuellar. He retired from the Saginaw Public Schools after 25 years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, scratch off tickets, spending time with his family and his pet dog.

He is survived by Janie, his wife of 54 years; his children, Theresa (Romulo R.) Perez, John Cuellar Jr., Joseph Cuellar and Christina Perez; his grandchildren, Anjelica Vargas, Bobby Pasanen, Amanda (Ty Shipman) Pasanen, Alejandro (Angela) Perez, Salena (Erica Tapia), Gary Perez Jr., Christian Perez, Justin Perez, Joshua Perez, and Nathan Perez; 13 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Richard (Gloria) Cuellar, Alice Cuellar, Francisco Cuellar, Raymond (Lisa) Cuellar, Angie (Robert) Delgado, Yolanda Gutierrez, John Aguilar, Lulu (Tony) Vallegos, and Mario Gutierrez; his best friend, Manuel Ortiz; and his special dog “Chespias”.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Audelia Cuellar; his brothers and sister, Tony Cuellar, Benny Cuellar, Joe Cuellar, Rudy Vasquez, and Beatrice Cuellar; his in-laws, Maria and Julio Gutierrez; brother-in-law, Julio Gutierrez; sister-in-law, Amy Aguilar; great-granddaughter, La'Miya.
