Obituary of Sharron Joan Kern

Sharron Joan (Hollingsworth) Kern, age 80, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away on September 28, 2022. Sharron was born on August 5, 1942 to the late Joseph Leslie and Aseneath Amelda (Malloy) Hollingsworth. On May 4, 1974, Sharron married William H. Kern in Rowland Heights, California.  Sharron loved spending time with family, gardening, and reading. She was also an active member in the North Euclid Church of God.

 

She was the second oldest of her family, with ten brothers and sisters: Patricia (Erwin (dec.) Proctor, Joseph (dec.) Hollingsworth & his wife Eleanor Hollingsworth, Theodore Hollingsworth, Cynthia Hollingsworth, Arthur (Teri) Hollingsworth, Gerard Schniers, Lawrence Schniers, Josephine (David) Sparks, Sheila Burrows, and Judy (Monte) Neuville.

 

She had five children: Richard Hollingsworth (dec.), William (Marianne) Keilitz, Matthew (Laura) Bigelow, Shelia Kern, and Pamela (Angelita) Hill-Kern.

 

She also had three step-children, Michael (Colleen) Kern, Timothy (dec.) & his wife, Darlene Kern, and Michelle (Robert) Sage; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.

 

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, October 10, 2022, at the North Euclid Church of God, 3440 N. Euclid Ave., Bay City.  A luncheon will immediately follow the service.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com
