When Santa Claus was born the model they used to create him was Jerome J Jajo. Not only did he have in his later years the gray hair and gray beard but he also was loaded with joyful positive energy-just like Santa. He was always smiling, always happy and went out of his way each & every day to make everyone feel like smiling. He had such a likable personality that made him such a easy person to talk too and such a easy person to like. He had a warmth & a understanding that made everyone relate to him & love him. The families loss today is heaven's gain tomorrow. May he rest in peace. He will be greatly missed but always remembered.

Jerome never drank water. He would take his pills with milk. Always drank milk with everything. I told him he needs water and that I would call him every day and we would have a glass of water together to get him to drink it, and I did and he loved it and so did I. He even started having 3, 4 glasses, and sometimes even more throughout the day waiting for my call!! For around 15 years we did that. We would miss some days of talking and drinking our water, like when we were visiting with someone. We really got to know each other and drew close to each other. This is how our conversation started out each time.
Jerome: Hello?
Me: Are you ready?
Jerome: Yes I am, are you ready?
Me: Yes I am. Just a minute, just a minute, just a minute. (taking a drink of water, then afterwards saying) Ahhhhhhh! Daaaare! (Like how a toddler would say, "there"...daaare. And how after a little kid goes Ahhhh after drinking a lot of water)
Jerome: Ahhhhhh.
Me: So, what did you do today?
Then we would talk about what we did that day and this and that.
Then when we were done, this is how it went because sometimes we wouldn't finish the whole glass of water.
Me: Well, I'm done are you?
Jerome: Yep. You have yourself a good evening.
Me: You too and drink your water
Jerome: I will and you drink yours too.
Me: I will. Love you.
Jerome: I love you too!
Me: Bye
Jerome: See ya!
I'm so thirsty now!!!!
I miss him but am so happy for him! Think about it....HE IS WITH JESUS NOW!!!

Deepest sympathy to the family. Who could imagine a world without Jerome? He came out here to the farm to stay with Grandma DeShano and enjoyed helping uncle Jay with the chores as a young teenagers, we had a lot of laughs together however the time he hiked me up on the horse bareback than gave the horse a slap on the butt wasn't one of them.we had this thing where he would wash my windows for a pack of cigaretttes and we always had to laugh about it for years.jerome didn't have an easy life but we never heard him complain and he always s had a smile and something to laugh about. We will miss you Jerome. Love Aunt Norma
