Obituary of Jeanne A. Hammond

The Lord has called His daughter, Jeanne Ann (Wetherell) Hammond, home following a lengthy illness on Friday, March 17, 2017. Jeanne was born on December 18, 1947 to Otis and Clara (Griffith) Wetherell in Midland, MI. She graduated from Midland High School in June, 1966. She married the love of her life, Arneth E Hammond Jr, on August 12, 1966 and recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. She enjoyed road trips with her family, family dinners, crafts and taking care of her grandchildren when needed and even great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Jeanne is survived by her four children: Stacy (Robb) Arnold of Coleman, Arneth E Hammond III of Coleman, Nicholas (Wendy) Hammond of Midland, and Amanda (Dennis) Barton of Harrisville, MI. 13 grandchildren: Cassandra, Mary, Kimberely, Allison, Marsha, Trevor, Nicole, Preston, Jay, Dellany, Samantha, Twyla and Chaz and 8 great - grandchildren. Siblings: James (Cheryl) Wetherell, John Wetherell, Jerry Wetherell, JoAnn (Bill) Engle, Jeffery (Sandy) Wetherell, Pastor Raymond (Donna) Hammond and Carlton (JoEllen) Hammond. And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, she was preceeded in death by her father-in-law, Casey Welborn; brother-in-law, Lewis A Hammond; sister-in-law, Dawn Wetherell; niece, Kristie Wetherell and nephews; James Wetherell and Michael Walton. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Calvary Apostolic Church, 609 Mill St, Midland, MI. Guests will be invited to share a personal memory of Jeanne if they choose. In lieu of flowers, friends can consider a donation to the Jeanne A Hammond Memorial Fund.
