Obituary of Raymond N. Tudor
Raymond N. Tudor, age 67, of Bay City, died Monday at his home. Ray was born June 19, 1949, in Manchester, England, to Norman and Florence Tudor. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 16, where he graduated from both Bay City Central and Delta College. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served in Vietnam.
Ray received his U.S. citizenship on January 11, 1988, and was so proud to be an American; however, he never lost his English pride, and loved supporting his favorite football team, Manchester United. He retired from WNEM TV-5 in 2011 after 36 years of service.
Ray was devoted to his family. He was the best husband, father, son, and Bop that anyone could hope for. He was utterly dedicated to his wife, the love of his life, and to his grandchildren. He had a passion for computers and music, and loved to tinker on his bass guitar with his friends Jay and Timm, and listen to music of all kinds. "Mr. Fix-It" could always be counted on to try and fix anything that was needed, whether he knew how or not. He always took great pride in everything he did.
Ray is survived by his parents, Norman (Margaret) Tudor, and Florence Howe; his wife of 41 years, Nancy; his children, Cassandra (Benjamin) Race, and Brooke (Maxwell) Duncan; and his grandchildren, Madalyn and Everett Duncan, and Vivian Race. He is also survived by his siblings; Ronald Tudor, Graham Tudor, Linda Smith and Kim Dishaw; step-brothers Don Osterhout, Mark Osterhout, Mike Flynn, Dennis Flynn, Ian MacFarland and David MacFarland; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of a funeral, family and friends are invited to celebrate Ray's life at a wake, to be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 4-7 pm at the Willew Lounge, 3005 E Midland Rd, Bay City.
Ray was truly one of a kind, and will be missed by all who knew him. To sign online guestbook visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com.
