Earl Clyde Vuillemot, age 80, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025. Born December 23, 1944, to the late Phyllis Marion (Smith) and Henry Joseph Vuillemot. Earl was a lifelong resident of Bad Axe, and a man deeply rooted in family faith, and the simple joys of life.
Earl was a devoted father to Earl (Pamela) Vuillemot, Kevin (Justin) Vuillemot, and Dawn Burkhard. He was a proud grandfather to Douglas (Martha) Vuillemot, Cassandra (Brock) McLellan, Tamra (Samual) Vuillemot, Raymond (Jodi) Burkhard, and Ti Burkhard, A loving Great-Grandfather to many. He also helped raise several nieces and nephews as his own, offering them steady love, guidance and support throughout their lives.
Earl was proceeded in death by his beloved daughter Dawn Burkhard, siblings John, Jim, Elaine, Diane, Rosie, and Pearl and niece Sharron. Though his heart carried the weight of these losses he remained a steady comforting presence for his family.
A man of quiet strength, Earl was an avid outdoorsman who cherished the woods and the thrill of the hunt. One of his proudest moments came at the age of 80, when he harvested his first buck with his son by his side – A memory that will live on in family stories for years to come.
Earl’s generosity extended beyond his family as he was a faithful donor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, always believing in the importance of helping children in need.
