Obituary of Mary Louise McKay

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary McKay, who peacefully left us on March 4, 2025, at the age of 85.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family. Her warm hugs, nurturing spirit, and infectious laughter will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

A lifelong lover of flowers, Mary found beauty in nature and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful yard and gorgeous flowers. Her passion for flowers mirrored the way she nurtured and cared for her family.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joy that will continue to blossom in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to know her.

Left to cherish her memory are son, James (Stephanie) Freed; grandchildren, Rochelle (Greg) Ruhl, Sara Tithof, Claudia (Elizabeth) Freed, and Sylvia (Alex) Freed; and great-grandchildren, Lydia, Silas, Sophia, and Kloey.  She was preceded in death by her daughter; parents; and siblings.

Cremation has taken place and private celebration of life will follow at a later date.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
