Frank Mothersbaugh, a proud Marine Corps Veteran and dedicated firefighter, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, in Port Austin, Michigan, at the age of 83.
Frank was born on April 25, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Redford High School. Shortly after graduation, he began a distinguished four-year service in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Frank pursued a career as a firefighter with Plymouth Township, Michigan, where his commitment to protecting others exemplified his selfless spirit.
Upon retirement, Frank fulfilled his dream of building a home in Port Austin, Michigan. He spent his winters in Texas, where he met and married the love of his life, Sharon. Together, they shared many happy years. Frank was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he valued the fellowship of his church family. He also enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends and neighbors on Sand Road.
In his free time, Frank could often be found fishing, hunting, or working on woodworking projects. These passions reflected his love of nature and his skilled, creative hands.
Frank is survived by his sister and brother-in-law; his stepdaughter and her husband; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; niece and nephews; as well as a great-nieces and great-nephews.
In accordance with Frank’s wishes, no services are planned. His family and friends will remember him fondly as a man of faith, integrity, and dedication.
