Ronald Joseph Gross, 73, of White Rock, Michigan died February 5, 2025 at Huron County Care Facility, Bad Axe, MI. He was born February 4, 1952 at Hubbard Memorial Hospital in Bad Axe, Michigan, the son of Carl and Evelyn (Champagne) Gross.

Ronald’s family attended St. Felix Catholic Church when he was growing up. Ron graduated from Laker High School in Caseville, Michigan in 1970. Ron began his career working as a farmer, he later worked at the Sugar beat factory, then the Seatbelt factory, Nutra Sweet, and finishing with Dow Chemical in Harbor Beach, Michigan. He then opened his own Taxidermy business in White Rock, MI.

On September 3, 1993, he was united in marriage to Patricia (Meyer) Harwood in a small ceremony in Bad Axe, Michigan. Ron enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, taxidermy, coin collecting, and had a great love of the outdoors. He looked forward to going fishing for fresh perch and deer hunting in the woods by his home. His most treasured time was spent with his wife and grandchildren, family was very important to him, as well as his faith in God. The woman affectionately known as “the cookie lady” near the Elkton area was his mother. He and his wife cherished watching the grandchildren playing hockey and watched all their games on-line. Ron had a gifted mind and built his final homestead with his own two hands, where he resided until being called to eternal rest.

Surviving Ronald is his loving wife and caregiver Patti, his daughter Krista Gross, stepsons Kevin (Kayla) Harwood of Harbor Beach, and Ryan (Andrea) Harwood of Freeland. His grandson, Kyle and step grandchildren Karagen, Harlee, Mazie, Hayden, Andon, and Rylan Harwood. His surviving brothers and sisters are Carl (Ann) Gross of Middle Barton, England, John Gross of Cloverdale, Calif., Larry (Sally) Gross, Rosemarie Cregeur of Chandler Township, Robert (Pat) Gross of Ellensburg, Wash., Dennis (Yvonne) Gross of Warminster, England, Willard (Peg) Gross and Allen (Sharon) Gross, both of Chandler Township. In-laws Celia Meyer, Gertrude Meyer, Edward Meyer, and Kenneth (Donna) Meyer.  Preceding him in death was a brother, Walter Gross; a sister Diane Krabbe; a nephew, John Meyer; brothers-in-law Arnold (Arlene) Meyer, Peter Meyer, and Leo Meyer; and sister-in-law, Mary Meyer.
