Your Mom seemed to have a smile on her face most of the time.
My parents still live across the road. When we went to school, we had to catch the bus in front of the Stone house. Our road at that time was gravel/dirt. One year the road was so muddy, the buses could not go down our stretch of road and we had to walk 3/4 of a mile to the nearest main road to catch the bus. I’m not sure if your Mom was smiling as we slogged our way through the deep mud. I know Mary smiled when they finally paved our section of road!
